MINISTERIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
AT DCMS
Following
the Government reshuffle, Culture Secretary Tessa Jowell has
today confirmed a revised list of Ministerial responsibilities
within the DCMS.
Richard
Caborn will take over responsibility for tourism and licensing.
Arts Minister Estelle Morris becomes sponsor for the
creative industries, including film, and Lord
McIntosh of Haringey will become Minister
for broadcasting, gambling policy and the
historic environment.
Below is a full list of each Minister's responsibilities.

- Chair of the Millennium Commission
- Public appointments
- National Lottery policy
- Olympics bid
- Lead on international responsibilities
- Overall responsibilities for the arts, sport,
historic environment,
museums and galleries, tourism, film,
broadcasting and gambling.

- To take Gambling, Licensing, Olympics Lottery
Bills in the Commons
- Horse Racing and the Tote (inc Levy)
- Tourism

- Lead on all our regional and local business.
- Millennium (support to the Secretary of State)
including being
Millennium Commissioner
